ACSR Aluminum Conductors Steel reinforced GENERAL INFORMATION: ACSR conductors are composed of several aluminum and steel wires. Steel wires are always central and aluminum wires stranded over steel wire strands.Steel wires are galvanized (zinc coated),and mostly composed of 1,7,19 or 37 wires.Wire outer diameters of steel and aluminum will be same or different but all steel wires have the same diameter sa well aluminum wires have sama diameter.Function of galvanized steel wires is suspension of conductor on the line.

ACSR Steel Core Aluminum Conductors

GENERAL INFORMATION:

ACSR conductors are produced by twisting multiple aluminum and galvanized steel wires on top of each other with steel wires in the center. Galvanized steel wires are twisted in the center and consist of 1, 7, 19 or 37. The outer diameters of steel wire aluminum wires are mostly the same, but the diameters of steel wire aluminum wires may differ. The function of the steel core must be the carrier function for the conductor.
